CCR Verification
Find out how you can get your Co-Curricular Record verified.
Important Information
The following is needed in order to record and verify a CCR experience:
- Students need to record their experiences on the CCR themselves (i.e., it is not an automated process).
- The experience or activity must be validated by one of our verified on-campus and/or community partners. Validators are notified when a student requests an activity be added to their CCR.
- When requesting an award be added to their CCR, students should email a copy of the award to ccr@smu.ca for verification.
- Students must write a reflection for each activity they record. Students can complete reflections on Career360.
- When requesting a position be added to their CCR, students must select up to five competencies.
Students participating in Co-Curricular activities have the opportunity to further develop their skills and competencies. Competencies are identified by students through the competency framework and encourage meaningful learning as a result of student involvement. Learn more on Career360.
Reflection is an important component of your personal and professional growth. Students are required to complete a short reflection before submitting their CCR activity for verification. The reflection will not show up on the CCR, rather students can reference this reflection when creating their resumes and cover letters, preparing for job interviews and when setting career goals and making career decisions.
