GDHDA Healthcare Sector Scholarship 

  • Field of study: Graduate Diploma in Health Data Analytics
  • Number of awards: 10 to 15
  • Value: Up to a maximum of $3000 

This scholarship program will conclude once all allocated funds are expended for the January 2026 intake. 

Terms of Reference 

The GDHDA Healthcare Sector Scholarship is established to support qualified applicants from the Nova Scotia healthcare sector who enroll in the inaugural January 2026 cohort of the Graduate Diploma in Health Data Analytics (GDHDA). The scholarship aims to strengthen workforce capacity in health data analytics by enabling professionals to upskill in data-driven methods that support clinical, operational, and system-level decision-making. 

All applicants of the January 2026 cohort will be automatically assessed for scholarship eligibility and award selection will be administered by the Dean of the Sobey School of Business upon recommendation of the GDHDA Program. 

Eligibility 

To be considered for the GDHDA Healthcare Sector Scholarship, you must: 

  • Be accepted to the January 2026 intake of the GDHDA program 
  • Be currently employed in, or intending to transition to a career in, the Nova Scotia healthcare sector including but not limited to: 
    • Nova Scotia Health (NSH) 
    • IWK Health Centre 
    • QEII Health Sciences Centre 
    • Emergency Health Services (EHS) 
    • Medical offices, clinics, long-term care, or other healthcare-associated organizations 
  • Demonstrate a high-quality application, as assessed by the Dean of the Sobey School of Business and/or the GDHDA Program 

Note: Applicants will be required to submit a letter to express their career path/goals as part of the assessment process
